Allyson (Ally) Ward is a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with over 20 years of experience caring for the tiniest and most fragile patients in the NICU. Her clinical expertise is matched only by the deeply personal understanding she brings to her work — as the mother of twin boys who spent many months in the NICU herself, Ally knows firsthand the fear, hope, and exhaustion that families experience on the other side of the isolette. Ally is passionate about care that doesn’t just support the infant, but the whole family — believing that when parents feel informed, confident, and less anxious, babies thrive. She is dedicated to bridging the gap between clinical best practices and compassionate, family-centered support. Ally performs the intake interview for all clients enrolled in the MOM Fortification program.
Dr. Heather Delaney is a double-board-certified neonatologist and pediatrician whose career spans over two decades of clinical excellence, nationally recognized research leadership, and 17 years of distinguished military service. That rare combination — rigorous scientist, seasoned clinician, and military discipline — gives her a perspective on neonatal care that is both analytically precise and mission-driven. Dr. Delaney has been a guiding force in the evolution of the MOM Fortification Program, helping to shape its development from the ground up and translate early data into meaningful, measurable clinical outcomes. Her work bridges the critical gap between promising research and real-world impact — ensuring that innovation in human milk science reaches the babies who need it most. At Milkify Medical, Dr. Delaney brings her depth of experience and evidence-based rigor to advancing protocols and practices that give every infant the strongest possible nutritional foundation.
Laura Serke is a registered dietitian and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with specialized expertise in neonatal nutrition and human milk science. She works in a Level III NICU, where she applies her deep knowledge of human milk analysis and infant nutrition to support the most vulnerable newborns every day. Laura is widely recognized as an expert in her field — an active researcher, sought-after speaker, and co-editor to the definitive clinical reference Infant and Pediatric Feedings: Guidelines for Preparation of Human Milk and Formula in Health Care Facilities, 4th ed. (Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics). Her commitment to evidence-based practice keeps her at the leading edge of what science understands about human milk and how to use it most effectively. Laura is passionate about using human milk analysis and individualized fortification to support families in their lactation journey.
